An Ancient Book Claims Mars Will Be Ruled by a Man Named "Elon"
February 2021 marked a significant turning point in Mars exploration. Efforts that began in the previous decade accelerated as missions from the UAE, China, and the United States all arrived on the so-called "Red Planet" around the same time. One historic milestone on the horizon is SpaceX’s anticipated manned mission to Mars, planned between 2024 and 2026.
This raises intriguing questions: How will Mars be colonized? What political structure will govern this hypothetical space colony?
A hidden detail in the history of Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, could hold a surprising clue about the future of space exploration. To envision what lies ahead, we must first delve into the history of space exploration and establish a narrative thread.
It is widely acknowledged that the space age began after World War II, when high-ranking Nazi scientists were integrated into the military-industrial complexes of the United States and the Soviet Union through the infamous Operation Paperclip.
It is also well known that these Nazi scientists contributed to the establishment of NASA.
Wernher von Braun: The Father of Space Exploration
To understand the roots of this tale, we must focus on Wernher von Braun, often regarded as the father of rocket science and, by extension, the space age. Without delving deeply into his biography, it’s important to note that he was elevated as a space exploration icon by the American establishment.
Von Braun had many admirers in the scientific community, and everything he published—be it scientific papers or science fiction novels—was promoted heavily by mainstream media. In a way, von Braun was to the Cold War what Elon Musk is today.
One of von Braun's admirers was none other than Errol Musk, the father of Elon Musk. Elon has described Errol as a "terrible human being," but this familial connection adds a layer of intrigue to the story.
Errol Musk and the Space Vision
Errol Musk, though relatively unknown to the public, was a prominent engineer in South Africa. He instilled a passion for technology in his three children: Elon, Tosca, and Kimbal. This is where the mystery begins.
In 1948, aerospace engineer Wernher von Braun authored one of the most influential works in planning manned missions to Mars. His book, Project Mars: A Technical Tale, was a science fiction novel about a human mission to Mars. The book included comprehensive technical blueprints and calculations, detailed in an appendix. It is worth noting that Elon Musk had not yet been born when the book was published.
Project Mars: A Technical Tale
In one particular passage of the book, von Braun wrote:
"Once the colony was established, it was governed by a leader elected by universal suffrage. This leader was given the title or name 'Elon.'”
Additionally, von Braun described the governance system as follows:
"Two parliamentary chambers enacted laws governing both Elon and his administration. The Senate, known as the Council of Elders, comprised approximately 60 people appointed for life by Elon to fill vacancies arising from death."
Von Braun envisioned a future where Mars would be colonized under the leadership of a figure titled “Elon.” Was this merely a coincidence?
Why “Elon”?
The name "Elon" means "oak" in Hebrew and was also the name of a judge of Israel in the Old Testament. Could Elon Musk truly become the leader of a Martian government in the future?
All signs seem to point in that direction, don’t they? As I always say, the mystery is in your hands—you decide.
